The Sacrament of Reconciliation frees us from our sins committed after our Baptism. Sin hurts our relationship with God and wounds our communion with the Church. We all have human weaknesses. God reaches out to us through the Sacrament of Reconciliation (Confession).
Only God can forgive sins. However, Jesus has shared his merciful mission with his apostles.
Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the father sent me,
So, I send you.” Then he breathed on them and said, “Receive the
Holy Spirit. If you forgive people’s sins, they are forgiven, if you do
not forgive them, they not forgiven.” John20: 21-23
This authority given to the apostles continues today through the Sacrament of Holy Orders, which is administered by bishops and priests in the Sacrament of Reconciliation. We invite you to come to Jesus with a contrite heart and receive his divine mercy, which will heal and restore your soul to God.
Confessions are Saturday from 3:00 pm – 4:15 pm or by appointment by contacting the parish office at 210-497-6101
