Confirmation

Teen Confirmation requirement is that you have at least one  full year of faith formation before entering Confirmation Preparation.  Preparation process requires a full commitment of class attendance, time and service to our community from the candidate and their family. Parents must attend scheduled meetings.

 Each candidate’s family must be registered within the parish. The candidate must have received the Sacraments of Baptism and Holy Eucharist. Your registration must have copies of baptism and First Holy Communion to be accepted into Confirmation formation.

1. Registered Parish Member: Candidate and family must be registered as members of the parish. Candidate’s copies of Baptism and First Eucharist (Communion) certificates must be turned in to the parish office or program Coordinator at time of registration.
2. Attendance and full participation of Confirmation classes is required. You must have true commitment to follow the requirements. Candidates can only miss 3 classes and still be in a good standing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Parents will have scheduled classes to attend as part of the requirements.
3. Confirmation Retreat: The retreat is an important part of our Candidates preparation to receive Confirmation. This is a firm requirement to attend. Each candidate will have signed registration, permission, and medical release forms to sign and turn in prior to attending.
4. Reconciliation: Candidates are encouraged to attend the Sacrament of Reconciliation on a regular basis. There are many opportunities to receive this sacrament. Specific guidelines for accountability will be given at parent meeting.
5. Mass Attendance: Candidates are expected and required to attend Sunday Mass and Holy Days of Obligation. Specific guidelines for accountability will be given at parent meeting.
6. Saint Project: Candidates are required to choose a saint. This saint serves as a model of prayer and devotion to the candidate’s faith. The project will be turned in. Specific guidelines will be given during class time.
7. Service Hours and Spiritual hours are required.
8. Sponsor: Candidates are responsible for choosing their sponsor. See the following required documents for sponsors. 

SPONSOR DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

Letter of Good Standing from their own parish, Baptism Certificate, First Eucharist (Communion) Certificate, Confirmation Certificate and (if married) documentation that they are married in the Catholic Church. Must attend scheduled meetings.

SACRAMENTAL PREPARATION

Are you ready to complete your Sacrament of Confirmation? Our adult Confirmation preparation classes will begin (TBD) at 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm for all adults 18 years (graduated from high school) and older. We will meet for 10 weeks, once a week. You may register on our parish webpage or come by our parish office to register.  Please give provide copies of your baptismal and communion sacramental certificates for our records. Sponsors must turn in all copies of their sacraments. If married copy of their Catholic marriage certificate.

Adult Confirmation Classes in English and Spanish. Fall 2025 schedule will be out in August.  Please register before classes begin.
